After connecting thousands of riders across Albania, Patoko is officially expanding to Kosovo’s capital. Starting today, Prishtina residents can book licensed taxi rides through our app—no more flagging down cars on Bulevardi Nëna Terezë or wondering if you’re getting a fair price at 2 AM near Termokiss.
We’re launching with taxi services first, which means you get immediate access to 50 licensed vehicles across Prishtina, including 43 electric vehicles for environmentally conscious riders. Think of it like getting the foundation right before building the house—we’re focusing on nailing the taxi experience before rolling out our full super-app features (car rentals, deliveries, and more) that Tirana users already love. (Ku ka dëshirë, ka dhe rrugë, we’ll launch the rest soon!)
Upfront pricing before you book. No surprises when you reach your destination—whether you’re heading from Pristina International Airport Adem Jashari to Qendra, or from Dardania to the Grand Hotel. The fare you see is the fare you pay.
Real-time driver tracking shows your ride approaching. You’ll know exactly when your driver turns onto your street, which beats standing outside in January cold (as they say here, “Dimri në Prishtinë s’ka mëshirë”—winter in Prishtina shows no mercy).
In-app credit and debit card payments coming soon via Stripe and POK Pay. Cash accepted now, with digital payment options launching shortly to give you one less thing to worry about when you’re running late.
Live location sharing with your driver eliminates the “where exactly are you?” phone tag. Send your pin, and they’ll find you—whether you’re at Newborn Monument or tucked away on a side street in Sunny Hill.
Airport runs without the guessing game: You land at Pristina Airport after a late flight from Zürich. Instead of negotiating with airport taxis or trying to explain to your cousin exactly when to pick you up, you open Patoko, see the upfront fare to Arbëria, and book a ride that tracks your driver’s arrival.
Night outs in Prishtina center: You’re wrapping up at Dit’ e Nat’ or heading home from a concert at Oda Theatre. Rather than hoping a taxi drives by or calling five different numbers, you request a ride, see your driver 4 minutes away, and share your live location so there’s no confusion about which corner you’re on.
Here’s where things get interesting. Every time you refer a friend who takes their first Patoko ride, you earn TOKO. (Our in-app reward system)
TOKO convert directly into free taxi rides. Refer ten friends, get multiple discounted trips around Prishtina. There’s no cap on referrals, so if you’re well-connected (and who in Kosovo isn’t?), you could potentially ride for free indefinitely.
You also earn TOKO by completing influencer deals through our in-app program –
If you create content on Instagram, TikTok, or YouTube, Patoko’s influencer program lets you earn rewards for sharing your experience. The mechanics are straightforward: Apply in-app, create content, tag Patoko, hit specific metrics, claim Toko rewards.
Current deal structures (Prishtina-specific partnerships coming soon):
Performance-based challenges pay based on views—10K views earns you 1,000 TOKO, while 250K views gets you €250 cash. A well-crafted Reel showing Pristina Airport to Grand Hotel might hit these numbers if your timing’s right.

Activity-based rewards give you 500 TOKO (worth 5 Euro) for a single post about your ride, or 50 TOKO every 24 hours for posting a Story or Short. If you’re already documenting your daily movements, this is an easy way to get discounted taxi rides.
Local partnerships—once we activate Prishtina businesses—will follow the Tirana model where restaurants and venues offer tiered rewards. A cooking class post might give 15% off your next booking plus TOKO for a Reel, while a restaurant could offer dinner for two for sharing your visit. We’re currently talking to Prishtina establishments, so these deals may populate in your app soon.
How to apply: Open the Influencer section in your Patoko app, complete the 3-tap verification, and you’ll see available deals. Create your content, meet the requirements, submit proof, get paid. (Merchants interested in offering deals should reach out to [email protected].)
Three options for registration: Google sign-in, Apple sign-in, or your phone number. Choose whichever works for you, complete the quick setup, and you’re booking rides. No lengthy forms, no uploading documents unless you’re becoming a driver.
The full Patoko super-app experience includes car rentals, delivery services, and other features that Albania users rely on. We’re holding these back temporarily because we want to ensure our taxi service runs flawlessly first. As the old saying goes (Më mirë vonë sesa kurrë”—better late than never), but we’d add: better correct than rushed.
Businesses interested in early access to our delivery platform, rental integrations, or partnership opportunities should email [email protected]. We’re building our Kosovo partner network now, and early participants will have advantages when we open these services to users.
We’re launching with confidence but realistic expectations. There will be growing pains—maybe a driver gets lost near the new neighborhoods past Mother Teresa Boulevard, or we need to adjust pricing for specific routes based on actual traffic patterns. This is where you come in.
Rate every ride honestly. If something doesn’t work, tell us through the app’s feedback feature or by messaging our customer support team via the in-app chat. Kosovo’s taxi culture has its own rhythm different from Tirana or Durrës, and we need your input to calibrate correctly. Your patience during these first weeks directly improves the service for everyone who comes after.
As they say, Koha nuk pret (Time doesn’t wait). We’ve always been excited to launch in Prishtina, and the day has come! Smartphone penetration is high, card payment adoption is growing, and residents deserve a transparent alternative to the old way of doing things. Prishtina’s expansion into areas like Sunny Hill, Kalabria, and beyond the Ring Road creates demand for reliable transportation that traditional taxi dispatch can’t efficiently serve.
The city’s proximity to Pristina Airport (about 15 km) also makes it perfect for testing our airport transfer model—one of Patoko’s strongest use cases in Albania. We’ve moved thousands of travelers between Tirana and Rinas International Airport; the same reliability should serve Prishtina and Pristina Airport Adem Jashari.
Download Patoko from the App Store or Google Play, create your account, and book your first ride around Prishtina. Use the referral code system to share with friends—they get their first ride discounted, you earn TOKO toward free trips. If you create content or have a social media account of any size, activate the influencer features and start earning from your posts about city life in Kosovo’s capital.
The 50 taxis in our launch fleet (including those 43 electric vehicles) are ready. Drivers are trained on our platform, pricing is set for common routes, and our support team is monitoring everything as we scale up. This is just the beginning of Patoko’s presence in Kosovo, and you’re here for the ground floor.
For airport transfers specifically, we’ve built significant experience moving travelers efficiently—skills that translate directly to Pristina Airport service. And if you’re curious about how ride-hailing compares to traditional taxi services, our approach combines the best of both: the reliability of licensed taxis with the transparency and convenience of app-based booking.
Patoko launched in Prishtina with 50 licensed taxi vehicles, of which 43 are electric vehicles, as of February 2026. All vehicles are licensed taxis operated by professional drivers trained on the Patoko platform.
Card payments are coming soon to Patoko in Prishtina. The service will integrate Stripe and POK Pay for in-app credit and debit card payments. Currently, all rides accept cash payment. Once card payments launch, users will be able to pay digitally through the app without needing cash, similar to how the service works in Albania.
TOKO is Patoko’s in-app reward currency that converts directly into free taxi rides. You earn TOKO through two main ways: (1) Referring friends – when someone uses your referral code, you earn TOKO with no cap on referrals; (2) Influencer program – create content about Patoko on Instagram, TikTok, or YouTube and earn TOKO based on views and engagement. For example, 10K views earns 1,000 TOKO, a single post earns 500 TOKO (worth €5), and Stories/Shorts earn 50 TOKO every 24 hours. TOKO can be redeemed for discounted or free rides in Prishtina.
Patoko currently serves Prishtina (Pristina) city and surrounding areas including Qendra (city center), Dardania, Arbëria, Sunny Hill, Kalabria, neighborhoods beyond the Ring Road, and routes to/from Pristina International Airport Adem Jashari (approximately 15 km from the city center). The service covers the main districts and expanding neighborhoods of Kosovo’s capital. Patoko is in the early launch phase in Kosovo with plans to expand to additional cities and services beyond taxi rides in the future.
Currently available in Prishtina: Licensed taxi booking, upfront pricing, real-time driver tracking, live location sharing, cash payments, TOKO rewards system, influencer program, and referral system. Coming soon: In-app card payments via Stripe and POK Pay, car rental services, delivery services, and local business partnerships (restaurants, venues offering TOKO rewards for social media posts). Patoko is focusing on perfecting the taxi service first before rolling out the full super-app features that are already available to users in Albania.
