Connecting People, Businesses & Opportunities

2026 was supposed to be a big year for Patoko. It became much more than that.

At the beginning of 2026, Patoko CEO Arbër Kadia described the year ahead as one that would be “aggressively successful.”

By September, the ambition had turned into momentum.

What started as a taxi app in Albania has evolved into a growing superapp, with 500,000+ downloads, 30,000+ monthly riders, 3,000+ drivers and a growing network of businesses across 12 cities.

But the numbers are only part of the story.

Behind them is a year of continuous building, testing and improving: expanding the platform, strengthening its technology, introducing new experiences, growing the network of businesses and creating more ways for users to engage with Patoko.

In a recent reflection on 2026, Kadia highlighted just how much has changed under the hood, from navigation and payments to location technology, reliability, driver tools and core infrastructure. He also noted that more than 500,000 rides had already benefited from TOKO rewards.

The result is a Patoko that looks very different from where the year began.

And Future 2 Tech Albania was the perfect place to show it.

More than a taxi app

Patoko may have started as a taxi app in Albania, but today it has evolved into a superapp offering much more.

Mobility remains at the heart of the platform, but around it, Patoko is building a wider ecosystem connecting people, businesses, services, rewards and experiences.

Users can move, discover, book, engage and earn through an increasingly connected platform. Patoko has publicly described its superapp journey as reaching seven active verticals earlier in 2026, with hundreds of merchants already onboarded at that point.

That evolution was central to our presence at Future 2 Tech. The goal wasn’t simply to tell people that Patoko has grown.

It was to let them experience what that growth looks like.

Future 2 Tech: Bringing the evolution to life

On 24–25 September 2026, Patoko joined Future 2 Tech at the Palace of Congresses in Tirana, alongside businesses, entrepreneurs, technology enthusiasts, creators and visitors exploring the latest ideas in technology and innovation. The event itself was built around technology, innovation, education and the connections between the people shaping what comes next.

For Patoko, the two days became an opportunity to bring the ecosystem outside the screen.

Visitors could explore the Patoko app, speak directly with the team, discover TOKO, learn about the different opportunities within the platform, connect with businesses and experience new products.

But we also wanted the experience to feel human. So instead of relying only on a traditional booth presentation, we created moments for conversation, experimentation and interaction.

And that meant taking Patoko into some unexpected places.

Our partners, part of the experience

Future 2 Tech was also a great opportunity to see the strength of the ecosystem Patoko is building, with many of our partners present throughout the fair. From Jet Bank, Raiffeisen Bank, DevPOS and POK, to other businesses and collaborators, the event brought together many of the people and companies who are already part of the Patoko journey.
Their presence highlighted that Patoko’s growth is not happening in isolation, it is being shaped through partnerships, shared opportunities and a growing network of businesses working together to create more value for users and customers.

A Patoko car full of perspectives

One of the most engaging parts of the experience happened away from the booth, as we turned a Patoko car into a space for conversations with people representing different sides of the Patoko ecosystem, from Alsid, a fleet owner, sharing the perspective of a partner working within the mobility side of the business, to Tea, a Super User with 750 rides, talking about what Patoko looks like from the customer’s perspective, as well as Fatbardha Rino, Founder & CEO of Jet Bank, bringing the perspective of a business partner and sharing what it means to be part of the growing Patoko ecosystem, where technology, businesses and customers come together to create new opportunities.
Bringing these different voices together in one place showed the ecosystem from multiple angles, the businesses and partners behind it, the people using it every day and the experiences that connect them.

From getting around to going out: Wine & Dine

Future 2 Tech also gave us the opportunity to showcase Wine & Dine, bringing the experience to life through a live demonstration where visitors could explore the flow, ask questions and share their reactions directly with the team. Rather than simply presenting another product, the demo showed how Patoko is expanding beyond mobility to connect technology with dining, businesses and experiences, while the feedback from visitors gave our team valuable insight into how the product can continue to evolve.

A moment in the media spotlight

The Future 2 Tech experience also took Patoko into the media zone.
Patoko CEO Arbër Kadia joined Gert Boshnjaku for a conversation about Patoko, its vision and the opportunities emerging around its growing ecosystem.

The conversation also offered a chance to look back.
Two years earlier, the two had met in a very different chapter of Patoko’s journey. Returning to that conversation in 2026 created an interesting contrast: what Patoko was then, what it has become now and how quickly the company has evolved.

It was another reminder that the story of 2026 isn’t simply about growth in numbers. It’s about how much has changed in the product, the technology and the ambition behind it.

Looking back at 2026 so far, Future 2 Tech was one moment in a much bigger story.

The year has brought growth in users, drivers, businesses and cities, while the technology behind the platform has continued to evolve.

Patoko has been expanding its ecosystem, introducing new verticals, strengthening infrastructure and finding new ways to create value for users and businesses.

And the pace matters.

Because building a superapp isn’t about launching one product and stopping there.

It’s about continuously asking:

What can we make easier?
What can we connect?
What can we improve?
What can we build next?

That mindset is what has shaped Patoko throughout 2026.

The recognition along the way

The journey has also brought external recognition.

In 2026, Patoko received the ICERTIAS Best Buy Award in Albania in the App-Based Transport Service category, recognizing the brand in relation to perceived price-quality value.

For Patoko, recognition like this matters because it comes at a time when the company is evolving rapidly, while continuing to build trust with the people using the platform.

And We’re Just Getting Started

If 2026 was about acceleration, Future 2 Tech gave us a moment to stop, step outside the app and show people what that acceleration looks like.

A platform connecting people, businesses, services and opportunities.

And while Future 2 Tech is now over, the work continues.

Because the most interesting part of the Patoko story isn’t what we’ve already built.

It’s what comes next.
